Bridging the Gap: Custom Tech for Neurodiverse LearnersÂ
In education, when you find a gap, you have to build the bridge. During my practicum, my Associate Teacher pointed out a specific need: a countdown timer that displays both visual and analogue faces simultaneously.
Existing tools lacked this dual representation, which is crucial for helping neurodivergent learners grasp the abstract concept of time. To solve this, I collaborated with a developer (my wife!) to code a custom tool from scratch. We launched @LearnerHideout to share these resources with other teachers. It is a growing project dedicated to optimizing classroom management through inclusive design.
